The Finance Department is regarded as the core backbone of the Municipality and strives to achieve sustainable financial stability, control and budgeting thus enabling the achievement of various service delivery imperatives.
This department is responsible for managing the Municipality’s accounting function and cash flow, making investments, raising external finance (or servicing existing loans), conducting its banking transactions, safeguarding its assets and liabilities.
We also facilitate and manage the Municipality’s insurance portfolio and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Sub-departments includes Budgeting, Revenue Management, Fleet and Asset Management, Supply Chain and Expenditure Management, and Financial Reporting.
